Apple is reportedly working on an app for prediabetics
by Ro · GSMArena.comApple has ventured into the health and wellness space with the Apple Watch and its other devices, and according to a Bloomberg report, the company is readying a new feature for prediabetics.
After the ECG and the irregular heart rhythm, Apple introduced sleep apnea tracking this year and Hearing Aid for AirPods Pro 2. Apparently, the Cupertino-based company is now trying to come up with a non-invasive way to track your blood glucose.
Reportedly, Apple has been working on sensors capable of tracking blood glucose without sticking a needle in you and has already tested an app internally. Earlier this year, a group of Apple employees successfully completed testing of the feature, so we might see it become a reality next year.
Notably, the feature is designed for people who are diagnosed with prediabetes and are at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
In addition to continuous blood glucose tracking, the app will let you log food, and based on that, it will recommend your next meal to keep blood glucose levels stable and avoid spiking.
