by Mollie Quirk · The MirrorVogue editor Anna Wintour previously revealed what she really thought about Meghan Markle and the wedding dress she walked down the aisle in when she married Prince Harry in 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, got hitched to her now-husband Prince Harry in May 2018, with the couple saying "I do" in Windsor during a ceremony at St George's Chapel. Meghan's wedding dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller under the Givenchy label.
The dress that Meghan donned was simple and shied away from traditional royal wedding dress trends. Very plain and sleek, the now-Duchess' frock did not include lace, embellishments, or embroidered details.

But according to reports, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour thought Meghan looked "fantastic" in the "sophisticated" dress she opted for. And while gushing over Meghan's frock Anna also positively about Meghan, with her sticking up for the Duchess of Sussex four years ago in a Vogue web series.
Back in 2020, she wrote that she thought Meghan was "amazing", with her also critiquing some members of the Royal Family at the same time. In Vogue's web series, Go Ask Anna, she said: "I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5am.
"She’s a normal California girl who gets up early and does yoga and meditates. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? That she was going to send messages via pigeon? I think she’s amazing."
Anna also touched on the Duchess' wedding gown, with her saying: "It was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown-up. It was an English designer, albeit one who worked for a French house, which in a way was a message to the world: 'Yes, I'm from somewhere else, but I belong'. I thought she looked fantastic."
This comes after Meghan announced that she will soon hard-launch her new brand, American Riviera Orchard, following a soft launch on Instagram last week. The chic brand, which is based in Montecito, will likely see the Duchess sell lifestyle goods, although nothing is confirmed yet.
