Radio star Chris Evans doesn't remember a single thing about watching Oasis perform at their career-defining gig at Knebworth in 1996.

At the time, the broadcaster was a presenter on the Radio 1 Breakfast show. With Liam and Noel Gallagher announcing their shock reunion after 15 years of feuding, stars and fans reminisced about the legendary concerts they watched of the incredible band over the years.

In 1996, the brothers performed in front of 250,000 fans but one of them, Chris, has no recollection of even being in the audience. The 58-year-old said on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio: "Honestly, this is a pinky promise… I genuinely can't remember being there. And I'm not larging it.

"Everyone going, ‘Oh, that's cute. You would say that because you got to say that to keep up this sort of the signature facade of the 90s,’ but I genuinely still can't remember being there. I didn't know whether we went or not. We clearly did go. I still can't remember it, even though there is this photographic evidence."

He continued: "There are loads of photographs of us there, but I can't remember it.” Chris, who interviewed Oasis on several occasions, didn't even learn about the reunion until someone texted him asking if he wanted to appear on This Morning to discuss his memories of the 90s as the band rose to fame.

Chris revealed: “The first I heard about it was via a text, and the text simply said, ‘This Morning want to know if you're available to come on for a chat tomorrow re: the Oasis reunion,’ and I just texted back ‘What?’ because I didn't know. I had no idea. hey were the perfect blend of fantastic, anthemic, profound, famous and infamous.

"They were so interesting, and they were so sort of knobbly compared to Blur. Blur were brilliant, by the way. I love Blur. But it was just a better story. It was a grittier story, wasn't it?” The siblings spectacularly buried the hatchet earlier this week, taking to social media to announce the end of their 15-year feud - and the return of their band Oasis to the stage. Unfortunately, fans have already had complaints.

The Britpop band announced last night that there is a pre-sale for their upcoming tour. Fans had to sign up to be in with a chance of gaining early access yet many didn't receive confirmation emails sealing their entry. Oasis confirmed they will be going on tour next year, with 14 dates across the UK and Ireland already pencilled in.
