GMP are now appealing to members of the public for information from the public, saying detectives have been working 'tirelessly' to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has information about a blue Mercedes 4x4, and have released an image of it.
It did not have a registration plate on the front of the car, and it was found abandoned on Clee Avenue in Longsight, the force said. They added detectives still have people of interest they would like to speak to and are appealing to anyone who maybe have information to contact police or Crimestoppers, anonymously.
