Pixel Perfect Dude debuts #Drive Rally racing game on September 25 for early access
by Dean Takahashi · VentureBeatPixel Perfect Dude announced the early access launch date of September 25 for its #Drive Rally arcade racing game.
During the Awesome Indies Showcase at Gamescom, the developer and publisher made the announcement about the arcade rally racing game inspired by the racing scene, pop culture, and classic video games from the iconic late ‘80s and ‘90s.
Future racers will be able to jump into this mud-slinging, high-octane experience on Windows PC, macOS, and Linux via Steam—including Steam Deck—, Epic Games Store and GOG at an early access price point of $20.
The release date announcement trailer showcases new tracks, iconic rally cars, and the charm of the game’s passionate co-drivers.
In #Drive Rally, players take the wheel and speed through over 400 kilometers of diverse rally tracks inspired by real-world locations.
With 36 customizable cars divided into 3 unique classes, players can fine-tune their vehicles to match their driving style. And let’s not forget the dynamic co-drivers who react to your every move, guiding you to victory and keeping you on your toes with their sharp commentary.
The Early Access edition will include four unique locations, each with up to 24 stages that can be driven in standard or reversed modes. It will have championship mode, featuring a selection of 4 fully voiced co-drivers. It will feature a selection of 12 cars with unique performance stats, plus three different classes per car, amounting to 36 unique variations. So you can choose a ride that matches your driving style.
Following the launch, the micro-indie team (a core crew of about five people) will continue to soup up #Drive Rally throughout its early access period. Planned features include additional locations, more co-drivers, new championships, brand new cars, car livery customization, and more.
