When is EastEnders on tonight as Christmas killer and victim finally revealed

The festive Eastenders whodunnit dubbed "The Sixmas' is finally hitting screens.

by · Daily Record

EastEnders is always one of the highlights of the Christmas Day TV schedule for soap fans. But this year, viewers are on the edge of their seats as they prepare for one of the most hotly anticipated moments on the box this festive period.

After a pioneering flash forward scene hinted at what was to come on the big day earlier this year, fans have known one of six of the show’s legendary characters could be at the centre of a dramatic whodunnit murder at the Queen Vic today.

Not much is known, though theories are rampant about who the killer and their victim could be. Potential suspects are Denise Fox, Kathy Beale, Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Suki Panesar and Stacey Slater, after they were all seen standing over the body of an unknown man in the flash forward scenes that were screened in February.

Earlier this month we reported EastEnders fans reckon that a Christmas trailer which was released in the build up may have given away a huge spoiler ahead of the shocking death.

A song playing on the jukebox in the clip might be a huge clue as to who will have blood on their hands in Albert Square. One viewer spotted a link between the scene and a past episode on the BBC soap, involving one of the suspects.

There's a song playing in the trailer on the Vic's jukebox, while the other tracks are mostly not visible to read. One savvy viewer worked out what song was being played - and realised it was played in a past, and possibly crucial, scene. Taking to X, the viewer said: "ON THE JUKEBOX IN THE TRAILER ‘IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER’ IS PLAYING.

"THROWBACK TO THIS SCENE BETWEEN DENISE AND KIM IN DECEMBER (!!!!!!!!) 2020 - IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER IS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND." In the scene in 2020, Denise was panicking over the return of her serial killer ex Lucas Johnson.

Denise wanted to stop him from getting what he wanted, saying it was "all about power", and she said she was Lucas' "weakness". She also referred to the moment he locked her up and faked her death, resulting in residents going to her funeral.

And it seems that most of the suspects have powerful personalities from Nish Panesar to Dean Wicks, or have committed awful acts against the six suspects. So if the song clue, which must have some relevance, has any significance it certainly hints that Denise could well be the killer.

Denise recently had a run-in with Ravi Gulati and with her possibly about to face heartbreak with husband Jack Branning, could one of these be the victim, as Denise turns killer? Something else about the jukebox also sparked suspicions that Kathy Beale could be the killer.

In a recent behind-the-scenes episode, actress Gillian Taylforth had the words "Jukebox Gilly" displayed on her dressing room door. With the jukebox being such a major clue in the trailer, fans are convinced Kathy will be the killer, or that she and Denise could team up and kill someone off together.

Taking to X, one viewer said after recalling another past scene: "AND ITS DENISE AND KATHY WHO TOUCH THE JUKEBOX IN THE FF EP. KILLER KATHY AND KILLER DENISE??" Another wrote: "It’s got to be Denise or Kathy. It’s got to be."

A third viewer said: "This just popped into my head as a repressed memory. Searched on Twitter & it was there! Yeah it’s a long shot but what if this is relevant somehow? Gilly T = “Jukebox Gilly” = Killer Kathy?"
