Murder arrest after man, 40, found dead in Clifton home

by Joseph Connolly · NottinghamshireLiveA man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 40-year-old man was found dead in a house in Clifton. Police were called to a property on Eddleston Drive at 8.30pm on Tuesday, September 17.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene. A cordon remains in place as investigations continue.
Photographs from the scene show a police presence on the street and a blue forensics tent erected outside the address. Police say they believe the incident is isolated and there is no wider risk to the public.
Detective Inspector Clare Gibson, who is investigating the incident, said: “Our thoughts at this time remain with the victim’s family. Investigations are at an early stage and we are calling for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
“At this stage, we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public. A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.”
