Michelle Keegan, the star of Fool Me Once, has shared why her mum Jacqueline won't be seen leaving restaurants with her. The 36-year-old actress, who recently received praise for her new Netflix series, opened up about this during a chat on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, reports the MirrorOnline.

Michelle, who started her career late in the industry with her role as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, admitted to struggling with Imposter Syndrome. She also spoke about how negative comments have impacted her family. The Brassic star said: "When it affects my family, that's when it's hurtful. I remember once I stepped out of a restaurant with my mum and we got pictured and I remember my mum reading the article and she read the comments. That really affected my mum, really bad."

"Now, she won't walk out of restaurants with me, because of that reason." Michelle keeps her family life private and doesn't like to share too much about it. She and her husband Mark Wright are very private about their family, so she really doesn't like it when people ask if they're going to have a baby.

Michelle, who is 36 and has been married to Mark Wright for nearly eight years, says she's the one who always gets asked about starting a family just because she's a woman. Whenever they share a photo with their nieces or nephews, people quickly ask when they'll have their own baby.

She wants to make her own choices and not feel pushed to have a baby. The actress is upset by the constant questions and said: "It's horrible. People don't know if we're trying. They don't know the background of what's happening. In this day and age, you shouldn't be asking questions like that. I'm asked purely because I'm a woman. But I'm immune to it now it's like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it's no one else's business."
