IBPS Clerk 2024 Recruitment: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will close the online application process for Clerical Cadre positions today, July 28.

The deadline, originally set for July 21, was extended to allow more candidates to apply for the 6,128 available positions. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website, ibps.in.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of July 1, 2024, meaning they should have been born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2004.

The minimum educational qualification required is a graduation degree along with a certificate/diploma/degree in computer operations/language.

Candidates who have studied Computer or Information Technology as one of the subjects in high school or college are also eligible.

Additionally, proficiency in the official language of the state or union territory applied for is necessary, along with a healthy credit history at the time of joining.

PARTICIPATING BANKS AND VACANCIES

IBPS Clerk 2024 will fill 6,148 vacancies in 11 participating banks: Central Bank of India, Punjab and Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for the IBPS Clerk 2024 exam, candidates should:

  1. Visit the official website, ibps.in
  2. Click on 'CRP - Clerks - XIV' under the recent updates section
  3. Select the link to apply for the posts
  4. Create an account to obtain login credentials
  5. Log in and complete the application form
  6. Upload the required scanned documents and pay the application fee
  7. Download the confirmation document for future reference

The application fee for the General category is Rs 850 (including GST), while SC, ST, PWBD, ESM, and DESM categories have a reduced fee of Rs 175.

IBPS CLERK 2024 EXAM DATES AND PATTERN

The IBPS Clerk preliminary exams are scheduled for August, and the main exams will take place in October.

The prelims include sections on the English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability, consisting of 100 questions worth 100 marks.

The IBPS mains exam will last 160 minutes and be worth 200 marks. Pre-examination training for eligible candidates was conducted from July 12 to 18.

PROVISIONAL ALLOTMENT

The provisional allotment of selected candidates is expected to take place in April 2025. Candidates should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria and have all necessary documents ready for the application process.
