Lee Dong Wook to launch official fan club after 25 years in the industry

Actor Lee Dong-wook is set to recruit members for his first official fan club, 25 years after his debut.

According to his agency, King Kong by Starship, the recruitment for the official fan club began on the 26th of this month and will continue until the 15th of next month via Melon Ticket. This marks the first time Lee Dong-wook has launched an official fan club in his career.

Official fan club members will receive a variety of benefits, including an official fan club kit, early ticket access for fan meetings, and exclusive access to special content on Lee Dong-wook's official website. Additionally, as part of a special fan club joining event, seven members will be selected to receive a signed instant photo with a membership number that includes Lee Dong-wook's debut anniversary and birthday.

In a video released alongside the fan club recruitment announcement, Lee Dong-wook expressed some concerns, jokingly wondering how many people would join. However, he quickly added that he is looking forward to creating more memories with his fans through the fan club.

Lee Dong-wook also invited his fans to help decide the official fan club name, showing his eagerness to engage with them. Last year, he demonstrated his love for his fans with a special fan signing event, and expectations are high for even more active fan interactions through the new fan club.

Lee Dong-wook debuted in 1999 through the MBC drama Best Theater - There's a World Outside the Path. He has since appeared in numerous popular dramas, including School 3, Live Properly, My Girl, Scent of a Woman, Blade Man, Goblin, Touch Your Heart, Tale of the Nine Tailed, and  A Shop for Killer.

As he celebrates his 25th anniversary in the industry, Lee Dong-wook continues to captivate fans with his timeless visuals. His signature hairstyles, such as the leaf cut and leaf perm, remain trending topics, highlighting the ongoing interest in the actor.
