Prince Harry has returned to the UK and made an appearance at a touching awards ceremony in London, though a meeting with King Charles seems doubtful.

Harry was spotted grinning as he arrived at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel to meet children, teenagers and their parents who are set to be honoured by the charity WellChild. The Duke of Sussex, who journeyed without his wife Meghan Markle, is attending the ceremony in London as the charity's patron for 15 years.

He appeared at ease as he kicked off one of the few events he now hosts in the UK, following his relocation to America with his family.

Speculation will undoubtedly be rife about whether Harry and his estranged brother, the Prince of Wales, will actually cross paths, or if he will venture to Scotland to visit his father, the King. A fraternal reunion seems somewhat improbable as they did not converse when both attended a family funeral back in August.

Charles is believed to be spending some time at Balmoral and hasn't seen Harry since his youngest son hurried home following his cancer diagnosis in February. Harry is a regular attendee of the annual event hosted by WellChild, a national charity that offers a network of nurses, home makeover projects, and family support programmes across the country, reports the Mirror.

At the awards, Harry mingled with other celebrities invited to the touching event, including former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse, TV personalities Myleene Klass and Robert Rinder, and YouTube star KSI.

In his address, he expressed: "The WellChild Awards is an event that never fails to inspire me. The stories of young people who battle against the odds, living lives filled with medical procedures, hospital stays, and endless appointments, remind us all of the strength of the human spirit. For many of us, it is a daily life we can hardly imagine, and yet somehow, the young people I meet are always smiling and every room they walk into seemingly lights up with warmth and positivity. So keep being you. You've got this. And we've got you."

Prince Harry expressed his deep admiration for caregivers, saying: "As a parent, I know a little about the emotional rollercoaster of parenting! But, when I hear about the care many of you mums, dads, and family members provide; the level of round-the-clock care you offer; the skills you've had to learn; and the battles for support that you fight every single day-I am truly in awe."

He continued, "You are all incredible, and your love and dedication are nothing short of heroic. And so it rests with me to remind you, that tonight is your night too. So much is asked of you so please take this moment to pause and be proud. To reflect and to be kind to yourselves."

In other news, Prince Harry is set to visit Southern Africa next month as part of his work with the charity Sentebale, which he co-founded in 2006. This will be his first trip to the region since 2019, and it appears he will be traveling solo, without his wife Meghan Markle.

The trip aims to bring together business leaders and philanthropists to support the prosperity of young people in Southern African communities. Sentebale will host meetings and discussions in Lesotho and Johannesburg, South Africa, in collaboration with Google's charitable arm and other organizations.
