17 Palestinian injured transported to Egypt for treatment in Arish, floating Italian hospital

CAIRO – 26 December 2023: Seventeen Palestinian injured and 18 companions entered Egypt from Gaza Strip through Rafah Border Crossing on Tuesday as eight are receiving treatment at Arish Hospital while the rest will head to the floating Italian hospital docking in the Port of Arish.

The injured were first transported in Palestinian ambulances to the crossing. Then, they were brought to the hospitals in Egyptian ambulances. The injuries are mainly cuts and broken bones in the head, eye, and body.

Rafah Border Crossing received Monday 44 wounded Palestinians and their companions coming from hospitals in the Gaza Strip to receive medical treatment in Egypt. The Palestinian injured are distributed among the hospitals of North Sinai, Ismailiyah, Port Said, Suez, Cairo and Giza.
