Five get life term jail for killing nurse, three others

A court in Mahasamund has sentenced five persons to life term for killing a nurse and three of her family here in 2018, a government lawyer said on Wednesday.

Public Prosecutor Bhupendra Chandrakar told The Pioneer that First Additional Sessions Judge Liladhar Sarathi on Tuesday found Dharmendra Bariha, Suresh Khunte, Phulsingh Yadav, Akhandal Pradhan and Gaurishankar Kaiwart guilty.

On May 31, 2018, they killed ANM Yogmaya Sahu, her husband Chetan and sons Tanmay and Kunal at her government quarters in Kishanpur village.
